We are one of the first charter fishing lodge in Craig, AK. With our 30 years of experience, we have confidence that you will enjoy the luxury of an experienced guide on one of Catch-A-King's own private boats. We take great pride in our boats and equipment, assuring you a safe and comfortable fishing experience, having each of our guides being coast guard certified. When your boat arrives at the dock, our friendly crew begins cleaning and processing your "catch of the day". Your fish is vacuum packed and frozen immediately to ensure freshness. We can promise that you will never have a better experience than fishing in the ever-changing waters of Southeast Alaska. The fishing here is unlike any other type of fishing you have ever been exposed to because of the constant change of plans due to weather and because our guides have access to the latest knowledge of where the fish are located. Catch-A-King is unique because many of our veteran guides were actually involved in the discovery of many of the popular locations that you will fish during your expedition. When Catch-A-King was first started, only the commercial fisherman went to the open ocean, and very few charter boats used the techniques that Catch-A-King instigated. We hope that you will come to love our little fishing community, and we hope that you give us the opportunity to show you this little place some of us have come to call home.
Catch-A-King Charters is located in Craig Alaska, a Southeast Alaskan village on Prince of Wales Island. With an approximate population of 1800, Craig offers a small shopping district, several eating establishments, and opportunities for sightseeing excursions. Craig was originally a location that was fought over by the Tlingit and Haida peoples for its incredibly rich fishing grounds. Catch-A-King Charters, which has been here for the past 27 years, is located in the heart of town. Local amenities and attractions are within walking distance of the lodge.
With Catch-A-King Charters you will not only be fishing in some of the best salmon and halibut areas to be found anywhere, but also experiencing one of the most beautiful places on this planet. While these tranquil waters will also provide the best opportunities for other varieties of bottom fish, such as ling cod and red snapper, be sure to take time and enjoy the surrounding wilderness. It's one of the few places in the world with this much abundant wildlife including eagles, black bears, and a variety of other animals.
